Meeting notes, without a bot in the meeting

When a call ends, Subtl has already written it down: the full transcript, a summary of what was agreed and the tasks that follow. Nobody on the call had to accept a recorder.

What you get after a call

A document on your Mac with three parts.

  • The transcript of both sides, with timestamps and speakers told apart.
  • A summary of decisions and open questions.
  • A task list drawn from what was actually said.

Notes for calls that were not in your language

The summary is written in your language even when the call was in another one, and the export can include the translation line by line. Send the original to the people who were on the call and the translated version to the people who were not.

Speakers, named once

Recognition separates voices but cannot know who they belong to. Name a voice once and the name is applied to every line it said, to the summary and to every export.

Where the notes live

In a database on your Mac. Search runs locally across every past call, in both languages. Audio is never part of a saved call — only text.

Saving is a switch of its own: turn it off and the call is transcribed and translated live, and nothing is kept.

Questions

Does anyone on the call know notes are being taken?

Subtl does not announce itself — nothing joins the meeting. Whether you must tell the other participants depends on the law where you are; the legality page summarises it by country.

Which formats can I export?

Markdown and plain text, with or without the translation. Both include the summary, tasks and timestamps.

Can I use it only for notes, without translation?

Yes. Translation, the prompter and the live transcript window each switch off on their own; keep only saving to history on.
